About Sheridan Dodge

Sheridan Dodge is committed to helping teams and leaders create the best possible work culture for productivity, innovation and well-being. A team's ability to engage in honest dialogue and quickly address problems is one of the most important determinants of workplace health and productivity and Sheridan's workshops help teams take their communication to the next level.   

 

Sheridan is an organizational development consultant, leadership/communication skills educator and career coach. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UCLA - a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and a master's degree in Education/Counseling - and has worked for UCLA for over 15 years. As a wellness advocate and certified yoga instructor she believes that the well-being of individuals is critical to the overall health, success and productivity of teams and organizations. Fun fact - she loves to surf and spend time in the ocean (a little time spent near the ocean puts everything into perspective).

Her approach to teaching and consulting focuses on personal connection and she values the perspectives and experience that every team member brings to the table. Her workshops are designed to draw upon that personal experience to create a uniquely tailored learning opportunity.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

The workshops are designed to empower professionals to communicate more mindfully and strategically in order to improve team dynamics and increase productivity. They focus on the skills and habits necessary to create a culture of open and honest dialogue and promote a healthy work environment. 

 

 Improvements in team communication will often lead to the following:

  • More mindful conflict management and de-escalation

  • Solution-oriented problem solving (as opposed to blaming and finger-pointing)

  • Increased team cohesion and employee morale

  • Improvements in customer service 

  • Team members holding themselves and each other accountable

  • Productive (and less intimidating) feedback sessions     

  • A company culture based on respect for all team members

These workshops can be delivered specifically to leadership teams, or to the entire team as an opportunity to get the team on the same page and improve communication at all levels. They are typically offered in a 4-hour format.
